Overview
This policy explains how BillingReconcile handles subscription cancellations, add-on cancellations, plan changes, refunds, taxes, currency, and data after cancellation.
Cancelling a subscription
Customers may cancel their BillingReconcile subscription at any time from their billing settings or by contacting BillingReconcile support. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewal charges. Unless otherwise stated, cancellation does not immediately end access to paid features. The subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period.
For annual subscriptions, cancellation stops future annual renewals but does not automatically refund unused time in the current annual term.
Trials and Promotions
If BillingReconcile offers a free trial, promotional discount, or introductory offer, the specific terms shown during signup or checkout apply. Unless otherwise stated, cancelling during a free trial prevents future subscription charges.
Add-on cancellations
Add-ons can be cancelled separately when supported by the customer plan and billing configuration. Unless otherwise stated, cancelled add-ons remain active until the end of the current paid period for that add-on.
Refunds
BillingReconcile generally does not provide automatic prorated refunds for unused time after a subscription or add-on is cancelled. Refunds may be considered for duplicate charges, billing errors, accidental purchases, technical issues that prevent reasonable use of the service, other exceptional cases at BillingReconcile's discretion, or where a refund is required by law.
Approved refunds generally return to the original payment method. Refund timing may depend on the payment processor, card network, or bank.
Failed or Past-Due Payments
If a payment fails or an account becomes past due, BillingReconcile may retry the payment, notify account users, limit access to paid features, or suspend the account until billing is resolved.
Plan upgrades and downgrades
Plan upgrades may take effect immediately and may create prorated charges for the remaining part of the current billing period. Plan downgrades generally take effect at the next renewal unless the billing screen or a written agreement states otherwise.
Taxes and currency
Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated. Taxes may apply based on billing location and applicable rules. Tax calculation and collection may depend on payment processor settings and registered tax obligations.
Data after cancellation
Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete organization data. Customers may request deletion of organization data by contacting BillingReconcile support. Some information may be retained for a limited period where needed for legal, tax, security, backup, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business purposes.
